Use a strong Passphrase with your wallets

Think of a seed phrase as a random specific coordinate on Earth that has your Bitcoin

The default seed coordinate is ground level dirt where your treasure can be seen and stolen easily

A passphrase is a skyscraper built on top of that coordinate with another key required to get into the building and your treasure is in the penthouse suite (if you have a strong passphrase)

Without a passphrase, a hacker that has your seed can see the amount of Bitcoin on that coordinate and can be stolen (e.g. 1.5 bitcoin)

Instead move that 1.5 bitcoin to a passphrase wallet built on top of that seed

With a passphrase, the hacker goes to the default seed coordinates and not only can he not steal it, he doesnt even see the BTC amount that you have in the passphrase wallet.

If you have 0 BTC in the default seed wallet then the hacker will see 0 BTC, he wont see the 1.5 BTC in the passphrase wallet

So hackers might try to brute force common and weak passphrases but essentially will move onto other seeds that actually show a BTC amount

Make sure you have a strong passphrase that you can remember or store it securely and seperately from the seedphrase
