Money sent but cant find it on chain..

Hello everybody, someone sent me usdt from binance to a wallet. they stated they sent the money (gave me a completed screenshot however didnt really take note of the txid) however at the fallacious tackle however even on the incorrect tackle i can't see the transaction or the stability on chain.. I did not save the txid which i do know silly me…. but when i checked the pockets stability and that i checked on bscscan or etherscan i can't find the money even on the improper tackle.. do you assume they actually sent it? or they never despatched it but just stated its the incorrect tackle? i've checked all sort of chains… i can't contact the individual now to ask for a txid..
