Each Bitcoin cycle has kept ~69% of the previous multiple (on a log scale). Will the fourth?

Bottom-to-top multiples across four completed cycles:

  • 2013 → ×539
  • 2017 → ×112
  • 2021 → ×21.2
  • 2025 → ×7.9

The interesting part isn't that multiples shrink, but how consistently: on a log scale, the ratio between transitions is 0.75, 0.65, and 0.68 (avg ~0.69).

Extending that pattern puts the current cycle at around ×4. That's not a price forecast, it says nothing about timing, just a rate of compression. Even ×7.9 still meant an 8x move, so ×4 would still be a 300% run.

I built a free tool around this idea that refits historical bands to each cycle's actual floor and peak instead of forcing every cycle onto one fixed curve. Methodology and interactive chart at bitcoinomics.io, no signup, no ads.

Here's my actual question though: three transitions are obviously a tiny sample. Is there any reason to think that a 0.69 ratio means something, or am I just fitting a line to four points and calling it a pattern?
